Today’s ‘Transfer Lens’ features two pieces of speculation we have recently covered, but not properly explored. We’d hate to ever miss out on slicing up juicy transfer rumours!
1. Mirko Vucinic to Arsenal?
First off, I must comment on the Montenegrin striker’s above celebration! The 30-year-old has a made a habit of whipping off his shorts in adulation when scoring; a move that has made him quite a famous face in Serie A!
However, the Juventus striker has a little more about him than just his bizarre goal-scoring ritual, and has managed double-figures in all competitions since 2008.
Arsenal are rumoured to be interested in the striker, with Arsene Wenger in the market for another attacker after the loss of Theo Walcott through injury.
The Gunners have allegedly met Juventus officials this week, who rejected the idea of a loan move,

Vucinic has dropped down the pecking order since the arrival of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente this season, and with another meeting between Arsenal officials and the player’s agent scheduled for Monday (according to gianlucadimarzio.com), we may find out more details very soon.

Saikat’s Verdict:
Juventus seem willing to sell the striker, but only if their asking price is met. However, Arsenal may wait until the summer in their striker hunt, where they can launch bids for more impressive targets such as Costa, Draxler and Benzema.
Spending €12m on a 30-year-old is not Wenger’s first choice option.
2. Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu to Liverpool?
Udinese’s Ghanian international Badu has been linked with a move to Liverpool this week, with the Mirror claiming that the Reds are in pole position to sign the midfielder.
Despite being in and out of the team recently, the 23-year-old has made 79 appearances for the Serie A side, and has been targeted by Brendan Rodgers to add strength and power to Liverpool’s midfield.
Indeed, Badu told Goal.com this week that he would fancy a move to the Premier League side,
“I have not heard anything from my agent – at the moment it is all speculation,” he told Goal.
“We will have to see what happens in the next two weeks because it has always been my dream to play in England.
“We played against Liverpool in the Europa League last year so I know all about them. They are a really good team who have been performing well this season and I would be very happy to join them.
“I’m settled in Italy but the chance to play for such a big club is something I couldn’t pass up.”

Tom’s Verdict:
Judging by the player’s interview with Goal.com, it seems that if Liverpool want him, they can get him!
His contract at Udinese expires in 2016, so the Serie A side would have a decent position in any potential negotiation, but a €10m bid may seal the deal…
