Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made Chelsea’s £25m rated striker, Romelu Lukaku one of their prime targets in the summer.

The Chelsea youngster has been on loan at Everton this season, where he has netted 12 goals so far.

Tottenham were thought to be amongst a host of clubs interested in Lukaku last summer, and according to The Daily Telegraph, the North London club will make a serious offer to lure the Belgian away from Stamford Bridge.

The report says, that Chelsea, who signed the 20-year-old for a reported fee of £17m from Anderlecht in 2011, will demand big money for the Belgian striker.

Spurs plan to sign at least three players in the summer, who can make an immediate first-team impact and a striker is a priority. With Roberto Soldado failing to make a strong impression, Spurs will be desperate to add a forward to their ranks.

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez and QPR’s Loic Remy are also other options for Spurs, but it seems Lukaku is ahead of them on the wanted list.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants to add a proven top quality striker in the summer, like Diego Costa or Edinson Cavani, and wants to cash in on the Belgium international. The Portuguese is reluctant to sell him to any Premier League club however, and would instead happily sanction a move abroad.
