Mohamed Salah’s agent admitted that Liverpool are genuinely interested in the player but the Reds are not alone in the chase for the midfielder.
Liverpool are thought to be favourites to land FC Basle midfielder Mohamed Salah, and four days back former Tottenham player and now turned-pundit Mido claimed that the Egyptian star is set to join the Reds within next week.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claims to have spoken with Salah’s agent, Sascha Empacher and confirmed Liverpool’s interest in the player, adding that talks are going on between both the clubs, but there are other interested parties as well.
The 21-year-old, who is often dubbed as the Egyptian Messi caught the attention of top scouts with his virtuoso performances against Chelsea in the Champions League.
Romano says that Basel are looking in the figure of €20m for the player, while Liverpool would be willing to pay around €15m only. Inter Milan have been scouting him for a year now and there are also interests from Germany and Spain as well, but the player prefers a move to the Premier League.
Obviously, the prices go high in the winter transfer market, but in this situation what could stand as key is the player’s willingness to move.
