Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has revealed the club are looking to sign Joe Hart on loan from Manchester City.
Earlier this week the England international confirmed that he may look for a move out of Eastlands for the forthcoming season if he is not the number one goalkeeper at the club, and that’s looking likely with Shay Given fit and ready for his sides Premier League campaign opener against Tottenham on August 14.
Bruce though, is looking to bring Hart to the Stadium of Light, after the youngster’s impressive performance for Birmingham City last season, as revealed when speaking to the Sunderland Echo:
“We’ve asked the question and we now just have to wait and see what City say.”
If Hart was to leave, and Given were to be injured at any point in the season, Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini would have to resort to the option of experienced ‘keeper Stuart Taylor.
