Stoke City in driver’s seat for Liverpool and West Ham target Remy?

Stoke City could be set to win the race for Nice striker Loic Remy, as the highly-rated Frenchman has flown in to have talks with the Potters, according to reports.

The 23-year-old has been linked with West Ham, Liverpool, and Tottenham this summer, and speculation about a return to former club Lyon or a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce has also made the rounds. It recently appeared that West Ham had an edge, but with Remy now set for talks with Stoke manager Tony Pulis, it could be that he’s set for a move to the Britannia Stadium.

Stoke City have been in the market for a new striker throughout the summer as they look to bolster their attack ahead of their third Premier League season, and Remy would add significant punch to a team that has thus far found regular goals hard to come by in their first two campaigns in the top flight. Last season, Remy scored 14 goals in 33 Ligue 1 starts, and in two seasons at Nice, he has 25 goals in 66 appearances (65 starts).
