This summer is going to be massive for Liverpool. The Reds are back in the Champions League, and Brendan Rodgers has already insisted he needs top quality players to challenge for glories on all fronts.
Along with buying new players, Liverpool must ensure they keep hold of star striker Luis Suarez. According to reports from Spanish newspaper El Confidential, Real Madrid have pointed Suarez as their prime target in the summer, and are willing to pay €70m, his possible release clause.
Real Madrid’s difficult end to the season might lead to some squad changes for next season, with the no ‘9’ position one of the areas that needs reinforcement.
The Suarez rumours have been gaining strength and Liverpool are reportedly demanding €70m for him. Benzema is being more and more questioned, which makes Real Madrid study the possibility of switching him with Suarez. Real Madrid’s favorite is actually Kun Aguero, but City’s strong refusal to sell has seen the Los Blancos shifting their targeted to Suarez, who has set his heart on continuing his career with Liverpool.
We all know, Madrid can go to any extreme to land their main targets. However, it is still unclear, whether they genuinely want Suarez. Liverpool should keep hold of him, however, if Madrid are willing to pay ridiculous sums, then situation could be different.
