Real Madrid travel to Sevilla this weekend and the Los Blancos will be looking to consolidate their lead at the top of La Liga.
The away side are in a good run of form and after their vital win against PSG in the Champions league, Rafa Benitez’ side will head into the Sevilla clash with a lot of confidence.
Although Real Madrid will be disappointed with the absence of star player Keylor Navas, Kiko Casilla will be looking to continue his impressive performance from the last league game.
The Costa Rican keeper was back in goal for the PSG game but felt a pain in his groin and will be rested for Sunday’s game.
Benitez is keen to have Navas back in time for the El Clasico and will therefore rest him for the Sevilla game.
Casilla is all set to start his second league game in a row after his start against Las Palmas.
Furthermore, Real Madrid could also rest controversial striker Karim Benzema for the Sevilla game.
The Frenchman was arrested over claims that he was blackmailing his compatriot Mathieu Valbuena about a sextape.
The Real Madrid striker has met with club president Florentino Perez and has his backing. The France international has also been caught up in a drug trafficking scandal.
Benzema returned to training yesterday but could be rested so he can clear his head and get his focus back before the Clasico.
Meanwhile, Sevilla have started the season poorly and highly rated manager Unai Emery is under pressure to turn it around.
After winning the Europa League last season, Sevilla have struggled to perform in the Champions League this season.
The Spanish outfit were dismantled by an inspired Manchester City side at home earlier and will be looking to bounce back in the league in front of their own fans.
Sevilla are 13th in the league and are desperately in need of a win in order to start their recovery towards the European places for next season.
