After watching Pippo Inzaghi’s 300th career goal yesterday against Siena, and then reading Daniel Chung’s interesting article on one-club footballers, I was curious about all-time goal scorers at the same Italian club. During a career that has spanned many clubs, Inzaghi has 62 with Milan.
Please note that that these figures count goals scored in the Serie A, and not the total goals in all competitions for each respective team.
According to a timely article that appeared in today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, here are the top scorers:
Gunnar Nordhahl: 210 with AC Milan.
Giuseppe Meazza: 197 with Internazionale. The San Siro is named after him.
Giampiero Boniperti: 178 with Juventus.
Francesco Totti: 171 with AS Roma.
Alessandro Del Piero: 164 with Juventus.
Luigi “Gigi” Riva: 156 with Cagliari. He is the current team manager of the Azzurri, and holds the all-time Italian National Team scoring record with 35 goals.
Gabriel “Batigol” Batistuta: 152 with Fiorentina.
Kurt Hamrin: 151 with Fiorentina.
Silvio Piola: 143 with Lazio.
