Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Mido, now turned TV pundit for Al Jazeera has claimed that FC Basel footballer Mohamed Salah will join Liverpool next week on his Twitter account.
The 21-year-old play-maker, who is often dubbed as Egyptian Messi, has scored 17 times in 26 appearances for his country and caught the attention of scouts of top European clubs for his performances against Chelsea in the Champions League.
Liverpool is set to sign #Salah next week..He will get into the team straight away as Sterling will be sent out on loan to #swansea

#Salah is the perfect player for Liverpool as his pace and runs behind defenders will create space for Suarez and will give him time on ball

#Salah is a much better player than Sterling and Moses..U will be surprised how good he is..#LFC

Mido, former Spurs and Egyptian footballer, who has now become a TV pundit has confirmed on Twitter that a deal is now done while the finalization will take place next week. He also claimed that youngster Raheem Sterling will join Swansea on loan.
The Times reported this morning that Swansea City have made an approach for winger Raheem Sterling, but Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins said as quoted in the Daily Mail: “It’s not correct that we are trying to sign Raheem Sterling.”
So, there you go. Mido’s first prophecy backfired horribly. While a deal for Salah could still happen but it is highly unlikely that Liverpool would sell Sterling in the January transfer window.
