Chelsea have been linked with several strikers this summer and one such name is Alvaro Morata.
The Spanish striker is a target for Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
On Tuesday, Real Madrid announced that they have exercised their right to buy the player back from Juventus. It is understood that the Spanish giants will now prepare to sell him for a heavy profit.
Los Blancos cannot offer him regular first team football and the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United are expected to make their move now.
Rumours of a move to Chelsea intensified after reports that the Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has personally scouted the player during the Euros. The Russian businessman attended Spain’s match with Croatia to run the rule over Morata.
According to Telegraph, Abramovich flew into Bordeaux from London on Tuesday to attend the game.
The report also adds that Chelsea have already begun talks with Real Madrid over a transfer and the La Liga outfit will demand around 40 million pounds for Morata.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Morata prefers a move to Manchester United because of Mourinho.
