Mohamed Salah does not have any future at Chelsea. Jose Mourinho has confirmed it recently that he expects the winger to move elsewhere. Chelsea have an avalanche of attacking players in their ranks, five to be precise, and therefore there’s no room for Salah in the Chelsea squad.
The Egyptian winger impressed heavily during the second half of last season, whilst on loan with Fiorentina. If the reports are to be believed, at least five Serie A clubs are vying for his signature – Fiorentina, Roma, Inter Milan, Juventus, and Napoli.
Fiorentina tried their best to persuade him to stay for one more season, and even threatened to take legal actions, but Salah doesn’t want to go back.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are looking to finalise the move for Salah within the next 48 hours. The pink newspaper believes that Roma are leading the race to sign him and only a ‘yes’ from Chelsea is missing from the deal being done.
Roma could face a strong battle from Napoli here. According to Gianluca di Marzio, Napoli are ready to submit a mind-boggling yet stupid €22m bid for Salah. He surely has a price, but doesn’t deserve such a high price tag.
The partenopei apparently are ready to offer Chelsea the option of taking Camilo Zuniga as a part exchange deal, but that possibility looks highly unlikely.
This transfer saga is a complete mess. Someone please sign Salah!
