French source L’Equipe has claimed that West Ham have made contact with Scottish giants with regards to the availability of midfielder Olivier Ntcham.
The 22-year-old joined Brendan Rodgers side last summer from Manchester City and was a revelation as he went on to play 47 times for the Hoops in all competitions last season, scoring nine goals.
Ntcham also impressed on Wednesday for Celtic as he scored a stunning goal to lead his club to a 3-1 victory over Rosenborg in a Champions League second round qualifier.
Ntcham is currently contracted to the Hoops till 2021.
He is an exciting young midfielder who is hard-working and adept at defending as well.
He would be a good purchase for West Ham.
While he has been successful at Celtic, combining well with Scott Brown, the France under-21 star will also be harboring hopes of one day playing for France at the highest level.
To do that, he will likely have to leave Celtic at some point.
If West Ham offer the Hoops a promising sum of money for the player, they could stand a chance of luring him.
West Ham meanwhile have so far enjoyed an impressive transfer window and there is cause for optimism for fans as they approach the season ahead under new manager Manuel Pellegrini.
The East Londoners have so far brought in the likes of Felipe Anderson, Issa Diop, Andriy Yarmolenko, Lukasz Fabianski, Fabien Balbuena, Ryan Fredericks and former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere.
