Venue: Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid

League leaders Real Madrid welcome the newly promoted Las Palmas to Santiago Bernabeu this weekend. Rafa Benitez’s side have made a solid start to the season and are unbeaten in all competitions.

The Los Blancos are ahead of fierce rivals Barcelona on goal difference and will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table with a comfortable win against Las Palmas.

Top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo has 12 goals for Real Madrid in all competitions this season and will be looking to add to his tally against one of the worst defensive sides in the division.

Although the Real Madrid superstar has failed to replicate his unstoppable form from last season, the Portuguese forward has been very effective and will be key for the Los Blancos.

Elsewhere, Las Palmas seem to be enjoying their promotion to La Liga. After 13 years away from the Spanish top division, the Spanish outfit are looking to avoid relegation.

After 5 defeats in their opening 9 games, Las Palmas have already changed managers and are looking for an upset on Saturday.

Their 2-0 win against Sevilla at home raised eyebrows. Furthermore, their fighting spirit was evident in their draw against Celta Vigo where they fought back from 3-1 down with just 10 men.

Despite the number of goals they have conceded, Las Palmas have been efficient against the top sides and managed to frustrated Atletico Madrid and Barcelona earlier.
