Manchester United will welcome West Brom at the Old Trafford on Saturday looking to bounce back from their ignominious derby-defeat last weekend.
Manager David Moyes will be boosted by the return of Dutch striker Robin van Persie while the Scot mentioned yesterday that midfielder Tom Cleverely has returned to the training as well.
So, how would Moyes approach this game?
In the last match against Liverpool, Jonny Evans produced an outstanding performance. He certainly deserves another chance to impress his new boss. Likewise, Phil Jones was brilliant too in the mid-week but Moyes probably won’t entertain the idea of playing both Evans and Jones together as central defence pairing. In that case, Vidic, who was rested last match, could partner either Jones or Evans in the defence. Likewise, Evra and Rafael are expected to take their positions at right and left back roles respectively.
In the midfield, Moyes will recall Fellaini, who was cup-tied in the mid-week, to operate beside Michael Carrick. Further up the pitch, the gaffer could be looking to give Nani and Valencia the chance on the wings with Rooney operating in the no 10 role.
Robin van Persie is fit for this tie but Moyes would be willing to give Javier Hernandez another chance to retain his place. Here is the possible starting line-up for Manchester United:
