Manchester United travel to Wales to take on Swansea on Saturday afternoon aiming to take revenge on their opening day defeat at Old Trafford in the 2014-15 Premier League season. Louis Van Gaal’s side have lost only one of their last 19 games in all competitions but haven’t played well despite getting the results.
United will be looking to cement their third place in the standings with a win but it won’t be pretty much straight-forward against Garry Monk’s side who are tough to beat at home. The Swans though have have won only one of their last seven in the Premier League.
For the Red Devils, Phil Jones is a doubt with the knee injury while Michael Carrick remains on the sidelines as the only other first team player missing. David De Gea should take his place under the sticks while a possible back four could see Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo.
Daley Blind is expected to play just in front of the defense while Angel Di Maria while Juan Mata should play on the wings. Wayne Rooney is expected to line up in the attacking midfield role with Radamel Falcao and Robin Van Persie leading the attack for the away side.
Here is the possible Manchester United starting line-up vs Swansea:
Predictions: As I have said, United aren’t playing well and this will be a crunch game for their top four ambitions. Swansea are expected to push United to the limited but Van Gaal’s side could seal a narrow yet precious 2-1 away win.
