Manchester United will face Swansea City at the Old Trafford on Saturday in the Premier League, where manager David Moyes will be looking to bounce back strongly after three successive defeats in all competitions.
The Red Devils are 7th in the league with 34 points, 11 points behind league leaders Arsenal and are 5 points behind 4th placed Liverpool.
United have struggled badly at home this season, having lost four games already at Old Trafford. Swansea, on the other hand have only won one of their last seven away league games. They have won just five of their 20 league matches this season and are without a win in their last six top-flight fixtures.
Moyes has confirmed that United will be without the strike duo of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie for this tie. The England international has been sent on a hot-weather break to accelerate his recovery from a groin problem while Van Persie in still recovering from this thigh injury.
Jonny Evans was forced off at Sunderland but his injury is nothing serious and could start alongside Nemanja Vidic. In the middle, expect Carrick and Cleverley to marshal the central midfield region, while in-form striker Danny Welbeck is likely to lead the attacking line against the Swans.
Prediction: 2-1; Swansea have not beaten United in the league since 1982 and don’t expect that to change on Saturday either.
