Chelsea will be looking to bounce back strongly in the Premier League when they face West Brom on Saturday at the Stamford Bridge. The Blues suffered a shock 2-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United in their last Premier League outings but are heading into this match on the back of a convincing 3-0 victory against Schalke 04 in the Champions League.
Jose Mourinho was clearly frustrated after the Newcastle match and claimed he made 11 mistakes in team selection. Striker Fernando Torres will be missing this tie with a thigh injury while Eden Hazard, who missed the last game with disciplinary problems, is back in the squad again.
In the defence, Mourinho could recall left-back Ashley Cole in the side or he might stick with the same back four that played against the German outfit. That means, John Terry and Gary Cahill could partner at the centre-back while Brazilian David Luiz could miss out.
In the midfield, John Obi Mikel and Ramires started in the last match, so Mourinho could bring Frank Lampard into the side, in place of the Nigerian. The attacking trio could consist of Eden Hazard, Oscar and either of Schurrle and Willian, which means Juan Mata could miss out.
