According to French publication L’Equipe, Premier League club Portsmouth have attached a price tag of €20 million on their holding midfielder Lassana Diarra.
Reigning Spanish champions and European giants Real Madrid have already declared their interest in the Frenchman and Portsmouth have seemingly agreed to sell the player for the right price, which now seems to be €20 million.
Not an amount that Real Madrid cannot pay and pay they will if they are genuinely interested in the player.
Lassana Diarra is supposedly a replacement for his namesake Mahamadou Diarra, Madrid’s first choice anchorman in midfield, who has been ruled out for the rest of season.
But would Diarra succeed in Spain? Personally, I feel he would as he has always shown maturity and eagerness but I felt that he was never quite used properly by either Chelsea or Arsenal.
Maybe Madrid would know his actual worth.
