According to reports from Sky Sports, Arsenal have agreed a fee with Celtic over the signing of Scotland left-back Kieran Tierney.
The Gunners have been chasing the highly-rated left-back throughout the summer and had a couple of bids rejected for him.
The 22-year-old boyhood Celtic fan is now on his way to London, and he is set for a Scottish record £25m switch to Arsenal.
The Guardian reports that Tierney will undergo a medical today, and barring any last-minute hitches, the move should be completed before Thursday’s 5pm English transfer deadline.
Arsenal fan and public figure Piers Morgan took to social networking site Twitter to express his reaction.
The blind fury I’m witnessing from Celtic fans suggests @kierantierney1 is not only a) coming to Arsenal but b) a brilliant young player. pic.twitter.com/ttn6pg9GlY

Chris Sutton, the former Celtic striker turned popular football pundit, has also shared his opinion on the same platform.
All the best to @kierantierney1 at Arsenal… £25 million is cheap… once he’s fit Arsenal will have a good player on their hands⚽️

Tierney is arguably the best left-back in the Scottish Premiership and has won four league titles with the Bhoys.
The Celtic left-back is a fantastic young defender who offers pace going forward and possesses excellent technique in attacking areas.
His departure is a huge blow, and it leaves Lennon with a major hole to fill. The Celtic boss should be looking to reinvest the money in the squad, and sign another good left-back in the coming days.
