Javi Garcia has completed his switch from Manchester City to Zenit Saint Petersburg on a five-year deal.
After a disappointing spell with the English champions, the Spain international decided to end his time with Manuel Pellgrini’s side and make a switch to the Russian Premier League outfit.
Garcia underwent medical with Zenit and will join former Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villa-Boas with the Russian outfit.
“The football clubs Zenit and Manchester City reached an agreement over the transfer of the Spanish midfielder Javi García! He has already undergone a physical examination and will soon join the team,” a statement on Zenit’s website read.
“The contract with García lasts until the end of the 2018/2019 season, the midfielder will play with the number 21.”
