Paul Pogba, like Arturo Vidal, finds himself regularly being linked with top Premier League clubs. Not a transfer window has passed by, when he wasn’t been linked with European heavy weights since he joined Juventus from Manchester United in 2012.

The French midfielder has established himself as one of the finest talents around at the moment, scoring 18 goals for the Old Lady and making 18 appearances for France, including appearances in the World Cup finals in Brazil during the summer.

Premier League giants Chelsea are thought to be one of the interested clubs for Pogba. The Independent reported back in August that the Blues are looking to sign him in the summer who would cost around £60m. He seems to have a soft spot for Chelsea and was caught on camera before playing Football Manager as Chelsea boss and he was in the starting XI.

The Times reports today that Premier League champions Manchester City are weighing up a move for Paul Pogba next summer.

The 21-year-old, who has a contract till 2016, is seen as one of a number of possible midfield targets. Everton’s Ross Barkley is another option being considered by City but his £50m price tag could be a put off for many of his potential suitors.

Pogba with his strong physique and greater technical abilities is a much better player than Barkley and offers greater versatility than the Everton midfielder. He is seen as a long term replacement of Yaya Toure who turns 32 at the end of the season.

Juventus are in talks with Pogba to extend his contract which will see him earn anything between €4m and €5m per season, depending on bonuses.
