Manchester United winger Nani is reportedly generating interest from newly-promoted French Ligue One side Monaco. His asking price is said to be around £10M.
The 26-year old Portuguese international has dropped further down the pecking-order with the Premier League side and is said to be considering his options for the 2013/14 season.
Throughout this season, the want-away winger has admitted his frustration with not being able to force himself into the starting line-up at Manchester United.
With the 2014 World Cup fast approaching, Nani will want to make sure he’s enjoying regular first-team football to ensure he makes the Portugal squad at the end of the season.
This summer, Monaco have been recruiting a number of players either of Portuguese nationality, or players who were based from the nation. Nani ticks both boxes for the side, and could be persuaded to end his time with Manchester United.
The former Sporting CP player made 11 Premier League appearances last season, but only seven starts. He has also represented Portugal on 62 occasions, scoring 13 goals.
With United in the market for Barcelona’s highly-rated midfielder Thiago, the sale of Nani could fund some of his transfer.
No official bid has been made from Monaco, but talks are expected to take place in the coming weeks.
