After going 2-0 down against Newcastle this evening, Chelsea fought back to earn a point.
The Premier League champions continue their poor start to the season and Jose Mourinho is yet to win at St James’ park as the game ended 2-2.
This is the sixth time Jose Mourinho has faced Newcastle away from home and the Portuguese has failed to win any of those games.
The home side came into the game on the back of a terrible run and will be encouraged with their display. Although one would expect them to win the game after going 2-0 up with 15 minutes left.
As it looked like the champions would slump to their fourth defeat in seven league games, two late goals from Ramires and Willian saved the blushes.
The Brazilian duo struck late to earn a valuable point for Chelsea. The Blues are now 15th in the table after failing to close the gap with title chasing, Manchester City.
Without further delay, let us look at all four goals from a highly entertaining encounter from St James’ park tonight.
Chelsea could have closed the gap with Manchester City today, however the Champions failed to capitalise on City’s loss against Tottenham this afternoon. After Mourinho’s cryptic swipe at Wenger this week, the Portuguese failed to win himself and is likely to be criticised heavily.
Let us look at how the social media reacted to Chelsea’s draw.
Funny when Ramires will finally leave Chelsea, he will leave as one of the most detested & abused players but with a CV of some epic goals.
