Jose Mourinho has agreed on a three-year deal to take over as the next Manchester United manager.
The former Chelsea manager has been in talks with the Old Trafford outfit over the last six weeks and has finally agreed on a mega-money deal to replace the faltering Dutchman Louis Van Gaal.
Van Gaal was expected to guide Manchester United back to the top of English football. However, even after spending huge sums of money, the Old Trafford outfit have been embarrassed more often than not over the last 2 seasons.
The Old Trafford hierarchy are keen to get rid of the former Holland manager and are willing to replace him with the former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea towards the end of 2016 after a poor start to the season and is ready to return to management with Manchester United this summer.
Mourinho’s 3-year-deal is expected to be worth around £15.75million per season.
The report also states that the only reason Louis Van Gaal is still in the job is because of his high compensation figure. However, if Manchester United do not qualify for the Champions League, the Old Trafford outfit can get rid of Van Gaal for less.
