In a report by Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Aid was quoted saying to Sky Sports that talks are ongoing with Icardi’s agent Abian Morano and Inter believe that Icardi will sign a new deal as early as next week.
Aid was quoted saying to Sky Sports, “I was with his Icardi’s agent until a few minutes ago, the distances are further reduced. We’re coming close to an agreement. Icardi will remain with us for much longer. Tomorrow we will have another meeting, during which will a draft contract will be signed, before official deal, that will happen very soon.”
Icardi has scored 14 goals in 23 Serie A appearances this season and the recent developments will be a blow for United and Chelsea. Both the English giants were linked with a €30m while Real Madrid were also keeping tabs on the player’s situation.
