Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is all set to complete his transfer to Fenerbahce next week.
Liverpool Echo are reporting that the Slovakian captain will arrive in Istanbul soon and will begin pre-season training with the Turkish giants next week.
The 31 year old centre back has been at Anfield since 2008 and will join Fenerbache for a fee of around 5 million pounds.
The long serving defender has been a liability for his team over the last few seasons and this is will be a great chance for Liverpool to upgrade that position. Schalke defender Joel Matip has already replaced Kolo Toure after completing his free transfer to Liverpool.
The likes of Jonathan Tah and Niklas Sule have been linked with the Reds this summer. Signing either of them would represent a huge coup for Klopp. Both players are extremely talented and a major upgrade on the Slovakian.
Furthermore, Skrtel leaving will also free up considerable wages for the Reds. Skrtel has made over 300 appearances for Liverpool since 2008 and has 83 international caps to his name as well.
