Former Manchester United goal keeper Mark Bosnich expects David de Gea to sign a new contract with Manchester United.
Bosnich hails De Gea as “world class” and says the Spaniard has been arguably United’s best performer this season.
However, the problem concerning De Gea is his contract situation – the 24-year-old has yet to sign an extension to his current deal that expires in 2016.
Bosnich in an interview with BBC Sport said that he expects De Gea to commit his future at Old Trafford but United have a fight on their hands to keep him.
“I do, [but] the most important thing is where David De Gea sees his future. He’s a truly world class goalkeeper and they’re going to have a real fight on their hands to keep him.”
Speculations are rife over his future, as he is often touted as the perfect replacement for Iker Casillas at Real Madrid.
De Gea has kept ten clean sheets for United this season and is pivotal for United’s push for Champions League football next season.
