Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli suffered a hamstring injury while on International Duty and was sent back home on precautionary measures. As per latest report, he will be fit to play against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Liverpool Based Media Outlet Liverpool Echo has come up with some good news claiming that Balotelli is expected to be fit for the Reds’ weekend clash against Crystal Palace.

Italy national team coach Antonio Conte has claimed that Balotelli’s injury is not so serious as it was first thought.

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has been ruled out of Italy’s European Qualifier against Croatia on Sunday at the San Siro after picking up a hamstring injury in training.
Balotelli was recalled to the national squad by new coach Antonio Conte but the controversial Italian has now been sent back home on precautionary grounds.
A statement from the Italian FA over the recent developments read:
“Mario Balotelli and Angelo Ogbonna left the training camp this morning. The Juventus defender has an injury to the left bicep femoris muscle in his hamstring and has been sent home as a precaution, whist the Liverpool striker also picked up a hamstring injury in training.”

Balotelli has struggled with Liverpool after signing for the Reds in the summer, as the 24 year old has failed to score a Premier League goal till date. The Reds would now be ruing over their luck as Balotelli has now picked up an injury whilst on International duty.
Striker Daniel Sturridge has been missed by the Anfield side this season but the English International is expected to be back for next weekend’s clash against Crystal Palace.
