According to Italian media outlet La Stampa, the verdict for the Arturo Vidal to Manchester United transfer saga has in all certainty been defined. The report claims that it now boils down to the Chilean on whether he wants to accept the Red Devils’ enticing salary of €12m per year, which is double to what he earns currently at Juventus or reject the enticing offer to stay on with the Old Lady.
The Bianconeri’s stand on the current situation however remains the same. They wouldn’t want to part with their prized asset and if Vidal wants to leave Turin he would have to ask the club for a transfer request to push his move through to Old Trafford.
Chile manager Jorge Sampaoli however believes that Vidal’s persistent knee injuries would be a major stumbling block which could jeopardize his move to the Red Devils. The 27 year old had a surgery weeks before the World Cup but still featured significantly for his country in Brazil. It is believed that the player might not have fully recuperated from the injury as of yet.
Sampaoli was cited saying, “The problem in Vidal’s transfer from Juventus to Manchester United is the doubt that Van Gaal has with respect to the improvement of Arturo’s knee.”
