PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has emerged as a top summer target for Manchester United, according to reports from France.
The 34-year-old, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season, is known to be open to playing in the Premier League, and Manchester United are mulling over the possibility of signing him on a free transfer.
Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola has said recently that the Swede star has already made up his mind about his future, but he won’t reveal any details until the season gets over.
“But we won’t say anything until the summer when the season is over.
“We have a clear idea of what we want to do. I know what he’s counting on doing, but we don’t want you to know for the moment.”
Zlatan is a world class player, and has been a great goal scorer throughout his life. He has scored over 370 goals in his career, and has won league titles with every club he has played for.
It seems like with age, he is getting even better. A total of 138 goals have come in his last four seasons, including 32 from 37 in 2015-16 campaign.
He is one of the ten players to have made over 100 or more appearances for the Swede national team, and is the leading goal scorer for his nation with 62 goals.
Furthermore, he won the Golden Ball award for the Swede player of the year a record of ten times, including for nine consecutive years between 2007 and 2015.

Zlatan would be a good signing for Manchester United. Being an experienced player, he can be a role model and a mentor for young players like Anthony Martial or Memphis Depay.
It is however, a shock / surprise move, because you won’t expect big clubs to sign a player who is approaching the twilight of his career, no matter how good the player he is. United still need to pay his hefty wages.
However, any move will depend on who is in charge at Old Trafford when the summer transfer window opens.
Ibrahimovic doesn’t enjoy a good relationship with current United manager, Louis van Gaal. The Dutchman was the technical director at Ajax when Ibra started playing for the club in the early 2000’s, and the Swede striker does not seem to hold a high opinion for Van Gaal.
“Van Gaal was a pompous a**,” Ibrahimovic wrote in his book, “I am Zlatan“. “He wanted to be a dictator, without a hint of a gleam in his eye. As a player, he’d never stood out, but he was revered in the Netherlands because, as a manager, he’d won the Champions League with Ajax and received some medal from the government.”
He could still be persuaded to move to Old Trafford, should Jose Mourinho take charge at the club in the summer. Ibra is a big fan of Mourinho, and the pair worked well during their time at Inter Milan.
