Spanish outfit Celta Vigo are eyeing up a move for the Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

The former Barcelona keeper was signed as a backup to David De Gea, but the World Cup winner soon fell out with manager Louis Van Gaal and has been banished from the first team ever since.

Apparently the Spaniard refused to train with the U21s to improve his fitness and was then alienated from the rest of the first team on matchdays as well as training sessions.

Valdes is keen to end his Old Trafford nightmare and was close to leaving the club during the summer. However, a deadline day move to Turkey broke down and the out of favour keeper has not managed to play a single game since then.

Valdes is eager to get back to playing regularly and several Spanish clubs are interested in the former Barcelona star.

Celta Vigo are interested in signing the keeper in January but that could prove to be difficult unless Manchester United agree to terminate his contract and let him leave on a free.

The player’s wife dropped a huge hint regarding his situation at Manchester United when she revealed that her husband was not even invited for a charity dinner, which was attended by other players and their families.

The instagram post from Valdes’ wife shows how bad the situation for Valdes is. It seems the relationship between the club and the player has broken down completely and there is no way back.

It is fair to assume that the player will try and leave the club in January when the window reopens. Also it is unlikely that United will block a move considering the fact that he is on high wages and is surplus to requirements.
