Manchester United trio to be offered new deals

Manchester United are planning to offer new deals to Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Ashley Young. 

The trio are out of contract in the summer but Mirror claims they will be given a chance to sign multi-year extension.

United hierarchy are pretty impressed with the way how Jones and Smalling have formed a successful defensive partnership in recent matches. 

Jones and Smalling particularly impressed during United’s recent victories against Tottenham and Liverpool.

Young likewise has rediscovered himself under Louis van Gaal, where he thrived under the Dutchman playing as a winger or sometimes wing back. 

Ed Woodward, United’s vice-chairman is thought to have opened talks with the representatives of these three players. 

The Mirror claims these players will be offered between three and four year extensions, however, United will still looking to add a new defender, with reports suggest Borussia Dortmund are ready to listen to offers for Germany world cup winner Mats Hummels.
