Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has emerged as a shock target for Manchester United.
According to latest reports, Jose Mourinho will move for the Arsenal star if he fails to land the Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Armenian is a target for Manchester United, but a deal is complicated as the Germans are unwilling to sell him for any price.
Mourinho wants a creative midfielder this summer and has identified the Premier league star Aaron Ramsey as an alternative.
Ramsey has been impressive for Wales so far in the Euros and would be a fantastic addition to any side in the Premier League. However, it is highly unlikely that Arsenal would sanction a transfer for one of their best players to a direct rival.
Furthermore, the relationship between Mourinho and Wenger makes a deal further complicated.
In other news, Real Madrid winger James Rodriguez is apparently house hunting in Manchester.
The Colombia winger has been linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
Latest reports claim that Rodriguez has put his house in Madrid up for sale and is a target for Jose Mourinho. The Colombian winger who shares the same agent as that of Mourinho is already looking for houses in Manchester ahead of a potential transfer.
The former Monaco star has struggled at Madrid over the last 12 months and is angling for a move away.
A move to Manchester United would allow him to start fresh and it would be a major coup for the Premier League giants as well.
They are in desperate need of a quality winger and in Rodriguez they would be getting a world class player who is yet to reach his peak.
