Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale is linked with a move away from Bernabeu almost every month and the latest rumour is that he could be on his way to Manchester United in the summer.
According to the Spanish media outlet Diario Gol, this could be Bale’s final season in Spain.
Apparently, the Welsh midfielder is not enjoying life at Real Madrid and is unhappy being in the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo.
They also add that Bale plans to force a move to another club unless he is given the star treatment Ronaldo gets at the Spanish capital.
Diario Gol also adds that Manchester United have already met with the player’s agent.
Jose Mourinho and Ed Woodward met with Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett at the end of last week and Adidas are also involved in the discussions. The Spanish outlet claims that the German multinational corporation is ready to endorse Bale’s move to Manchester United next summer.
It is believed that Real Madrid are ready to extend Bale’s contract despite his wage demands of €20m per season.
It is important to mention that Diario Gol are not exactly a very reliable outlet in Spain and it is highly doubtful whether the meeting even happened. Furthermore, with Ronaldo on the decline, logic says that Real Madrid will now rely on Bale as the main man over the next few years.
There is absolutely no sense in these reports claiming that Bale will force a move to Manchester United. Furthermore, the outlet reporting this story are based in Barcelona and therefore this could just be a ploy to unsettle Real Madrid and the player.
Manchester United have been linked with the player several times in the past and therefore this is an easy link for the media. To sum it up, the story lacks credibility and Bale seems perfectly happy playing for Real Madrid. There is no reason to believe that the player will force a move, or is unhappy at the club.
