It now seems that Manchester United are getting desperate to sign Arturo Vidal from Manchester United as quickly as possible. Corriere Dello Sport’s front page story also claims that the Chilean midfielder too is planning his exit from the Bianconeri.
Juventus Director General Giuseppe Marotta wants no less than €50m for Vidal while Van Gaal is trying to lower the asking price by including out of favour striker Javier Hernandez in a cash plus player offer.
The report from the same newspaper claims that the Red Devils will offer the player an astonishing salary package of €8m per season. Moreover Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich was also present in London ostensibly to attend the Community Shield between Arsenal and Manchester City. He might have been watching another of his client Alexis Sanchez in action.
English tabloid Independent yesterday claimed that Felicevich would be travelling to Manchester to discuss Vidal’s move to United with new manager Louis van Gaal. While this is true, it must be noted that Felicevich is also the agent of Angelo Henriquez who completed his loan move to Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb. We believe that Vidal’s move was certainly discussed amongst the duo.
La Stampa have reported today that Juventus are believed to have given Vidal and his agent an ultimatum to sort out his future ahead of the new season.
The story from Independent claims that Felicevich had last week agreed on a £182,000 a week for his client with the Red Devils. However, Van Gaal seems bothered about Vidal’s persistent knee injuries. The player isn’t back to full fitness and had a surgery on his knee just before the World Cup.
