Manchester United ready to agree player’s terms with Real Madrid

According to reports in Italian website TMW, Real Madrid reserve side Real madrid Castilla who are now coached by the legendary Zinedine Zidane have asked Manchester United for a season long deal for defender Guillermo Varela. The Madrid outfit have also asked an option to buy at €5m.

Varela the first signing for David Moyes in the Scot’s disastrous regime at Old Trafford and was signed from Atletico Penarol for an undisclosed fee in June 2013. The player however was granted leave after his parents were involved in a car accident in his native Uruguay. Penarol had earlier mulled over their options open to acquire their former player on loan so that he could stay with his parents in his native country.

Varela has a contract with United till 2018 and features regularly for the Red Devils’ under 21 side. He was a prominent figure in the Under 20 World Cup for the Uruguyan side who reached the final of the tournament held in Turkey in 2013.
