Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic over the last few months and it seems they have finally made their move for the PSG striker.

Ibrahimovic is out of contract this summer and has revealed that he will not renew at the French capital and wants a new adventure for next season.

With Jose Mourinho reported to be taking over at Old Trafford this summer, Ibrahimovic has been linked with a reunion with his former manager in the Premier League.

The duo has great mutual respect for each other and they have publicly claimed that they would love to work together again. Mourinho shared good terms with the player when he was in charge of Inter Milan.

Recent reports claimed that Ibrahimovic is a priority signing for the incoming Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho. The Red Devils are in need of a goalscorer and Mourinho wants to solve that issue right away with the signing of Ibrahimovic. However, there were no reports of an official offer over the last few weeks.

According to the very reliable RMC Sport, Manchester United have now made their move. The French outlet claims that Manchester United have offered Zlatan a one-year contract with the option of extension for another year.

The report also adds that Manchester United are ready to pay the player wages of around £225k-a-week. They also mention that the player is very interested in a reunion with Jose Mourinho.

At this point, it seems that Manchester United are leading the race for the world-class striker and will probably end up signing him. However, Mourinho’s arrival would be key. The player is apparently not too keen on working with Louis Van Gaal.
