The last week of the transfer window promises to be a cracker, as Premier League giants Manchester United look set to splash cash on signing at least three players apart from Angel di Maria, who is closing in on joining them, as per the reports.

The possibility of Manchester United going for Juan Cuadrado cannot be completely ruled out either.

Could be heading to Barcelona?

Throughout the months of June and July, Spanish and Italian newspapers had reported that Barcelona and Manchester United would be fighting tooth and nail to land the highly rated wing-back, who impressed during the World Cup in Brazil.

There were even reports that Manchester United had agreed a personal deal with the player. Barcelona made several contacts with Fiorentina but in the end they chose to stick with Dani Alves.

According to latest report from Italy, Manchester United seems to be ready to lodge a formal offer of €40m for Cuadrado.

It remains to be seen whether United make intense effort to sign him or not, but I don’t think, the Red Devils would go for him if they sign Di Maria, though both are different types of players and play in different positions.

Let’s hope transfer window amaze us once again!
