David de Gea’s girl friend has dropped a massive hint that the Manchester United goal keeper could be on his way to Real Madrid in the summer.
According to reports from AS, Edurne, De Gea’s girl friend was heard saying after an interview, off the record, and a sign that she and De Gea are confident that the Spaniard will be playing at Madrid next season.
“Now when David is in Madrid everything will be easier,” she said.
Undoubtedly, De Gea’s transfer to Real Madrid is going to be the blockbuster transfer move that everyone is waiting for. Throughout the summer, English and Spanish media have speculated on his future, but this coming from his girl friend, apparently, is a massive massive hint on where his future lies.
The situation is still unclear at the moment. United are ready to sell for €40m, which Madrid aren’t willing to pay for. The La Liga giants would rather wait for another season and sign him for free. In fact, Rafael Benitez has insisted that he is happy with the keepers he has at disposal.
