Germany press believe that Shinji Kagawa to Borussia Dortmund is almost a done deal scenario. Yesterday, we had reports that Kagawa’s agent, Thomas Kroth was in Dortmund to sort to final details of the transfer.
Bild has an update on that story. Dortmund won their first match yesterday beating Augsburg 3-2, where club manager Michael Zorc wasn’t present in the stadium. He was actually busy in completing the transfer of Kagawa and told Bild that “We are in talks” when asked about to comment on Kagawa’s signing.
Bild claim that Kagawa has been released from his Manchester United contract. He will undergo a medical today and will sign a four year contract.
Borussia Dortmund will pay only €8m for the highly talented Japanese, after selling him to Manchester United for twice the amount.
He joined United 2012 after enduring a successful career in Germany with Dortmund. However, he failed to make any significant impression, with new manager Louis van Gaal openly criticised him saying he didn’t meet his expectations.
