Premier League club Manchester City have been linked with a number of top draw players since they were taken over by the filthy rich Abu Dhabi-based ADUG and it appears that they are ready to intrude into Italy.
According to the British tabloid The Daily Mail, the Eastlands club are contemplating placing a whooping €17 million for Inter Milan’s anchoring midfielder Esteban Cambiasso. It has appeared in the press, all of a sudden you have to say, that Man City manager Mark Hughes is inclined to sign the 28-year old Argentine international.
Now, now, you have to admit that this is becoming too much. City are being linked with every possible footballer under the sun! Cambiasso might be one of the best players in the Italian Serie A and is a world class holding midfielder but how could have Hughes suddenly shown an interest in him? One would have to question how many matches of Cambiasso has Hughes seen so far.
Moreover, Cambiasso is a favourite of Inter president Massimo Moratti and although City might flaunt around some green notes (or whatever colour the euro is), seducing someone like Moratti is hardly possible.
So is Cambiasso, formerly at Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, moving to Manchester City? No, not at all! Not a chance!
