According to reports Txiki Begiristain believes Sergio Aguero would want to leave Etihad at the end of the season. Begiristain thinks Luis Suarez will be an ideal replacement for Argentine international. The board at Etihad also think that the release clause included in Luis Suarez new contract is feasible for the Man City owners.

Earlier Marca reported that Suarez will leave the Premier League this summer, despite only signing a new four year deal at Liverpool in December. Real Madrid are also interested in Liverpool mega star Luis Suarez.

Marca also reported that Txiki Begiristain has already contacted the player and an agreement has been reached between the two parties for the next season.

Brendan Rodgers recently admitted Luis Suarez could break all transfer records if he leaves Anfield. Asked if he is nearing the £100m bracket.

“He is certainly heading towards that,” said Rodgers.

“If you look at the top people in the world, the Ronaldos, the Messis, those who have been doing it for five or six years, he would be right at that level.

“Luis is certainly on his way towards that. His consistency has been phenomenal and what you see now is a more mature player.”

Luis Suarez wanted to leave Anfield last summer for Real Madrid or Arsenal but the Liverpool owners forced him to stay. Brendan Rodgers also accused the striker of “total disrespect of the club — a club that has given him everything” and instructed him to train alone. The Sunday Times journalist Duncan Castles also suggests that “Suarez regards his outstanding play this season as “a personal revenge” on Rodgers”. Luis Suarez is currently not only the top goal scorer he has also provided more assists than any other player.

Liverpool are currently second in the Premier League table one point behind Chelsea with a game in hand. It would take a massive bid to lure Suarez away from Anfield considering they will be back in the Champions League next season and are fighting for the Premier League title this season.
