Liverpool superstar Luis Suarez dreams of playing in the Champions League with Liverpool, casting further doubt on a summer move away from Anfield.
The 26-year-old signed a new long term deal at the club last year, and despite continued links with the likes of Real Madrid, Suarez says he wants to remain on Merseyside and guide Liverpool into the top echelons of European football,
“I want to be there with Liverpool. It’s an unbelievable competition. It’s where we want to be – playing against the top teams in Europe,” Suarez told the Liverpool Echo.
“I watched the games on TV this week and when you hear that Champions League music, that’s motivation in itself.
“Stevie [Gerrard] has told me about Champions League nights at Anfield. He said when you have played Champions League football at Anfield, you will never forget it. I want to try it for myself.
“When I arrived here, I said it was my dream to play for Liverpool and play Champions League here. I know I can achieve my dreams here.”
Suarez is in sensational form, scoring 22 goals and notching up 16 assists so far in the league this season.
Real Madrid have been linked with the striker for a while now, with Los Blancos always looking for the next Galactico to join their already star-studded squad.

Liverpool fans will be desperate for their star man to remain at the club, while a potential transfer to La Liga would be a bitter loss for the Premier League as a compeition.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are currently in fourth place in the league, three points ahead of Tottenham, and you feel that Suarez’ potential longevity at Liverpool is riding on whether the club can grab that last Champions League spot this season.
