Manchester United have confirmed their striker Javier Hernandez have left Old Trafford and completed a move to Bayer Leverkusen.
He was signed by former Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson in 2010. The 27-year-old came on from the bench and scored several goals for United during his time in England and has won several silverwares.
Louis van Gaal’s move to Old Trafford as David Moyes’ replacement last summer saw the striker join Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal. Since his return, he has failed to cement a place in the starting XI.

The Mexican international has joined the Bundesliga club and signed a three-year deal. A statement on United’s official website read, ” Javier Hernandez has completed his transfer from Manchester United to Bayer Leverkusen for an undisclosed fee. The Mexico international, who joined the Reds in 2010, has signed a three-year deal with the German club.”
The striker follows Belgium international Adnan Januzaj out of the club as the latter joined Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan earlier today. This leaves the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager with Wayne Rooney as the first choice striker in the squad.
The England captain will be joined by Anthony Martial at United, who is expected to complete his move to United from AS Monaco.
