According to reports from The Telegraph, The Reds have made an enquiry to the Russian outfit, Anzhi, ahead of a possible bid, thought to be around £30 million.

The 25-year-old joined the Russian club in the January transfer window from Shakhtar Donetsk but following the massive financial restructuring of the club, the club has been forced to reduce the wage bill, with several top players including Willian have been put up on sale.

Having left frustrated over the chase of Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who joined Borussia Dortmund, and Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa, Liverpool are determined to land one top name to their squad, without having to sell Luis Suarez, and have earmarked Willian as their priority target.

It is understood that Tottenham are also interested in the chase for the gifted play-maker and Andre Villas-Boas, who is a long-term admirer of the player will also consider making an offer if Gareth Bale is sold.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s hunt for a quality central defender continues and as per the latest report from The Metro, The Reds have made a £8 million bid for PSG defender Mamadou Sakho.

The French champions have already signed Marquinhos from Roma in the summer and have informed Sakho that he is free to leave the club. The Reds have already signed Kolo Toure from Manchester City on a free transfer, but Rodgers is looking to add quality additions to the squad.

According to Daily Mail, Liverpool are close to signing the highly-rated Granada left-back Guilherme Siquiera. The club’s managing director Ian Ayre had flew to Spain to negotiate a deal for around £6 million.

Finally, according to reports in Uruguay, Luis Suarez is ready to prepare a dramatic and amazing U-turn by abandoning the thoughts of leaving Anfield, and could sign an extension at the club.
