Let me sum up all the major Liverpool transfer news:

Klopp looking to sell at least four senior players

This summer is absolutely vital for Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp has installed a fair bit of confidence in the team and among the fans, but he cannot take the club to the level they aspire to belong unless major investments are made.

Klopp will be given transfer funds and full freedom to sign players of his choice. But at the same time he needs to remove few players to make room for new signings.

It has been reported that Klopp is ready to sell Martin Skrtel in order to raise the funds for bringing in new players. Skrtel signed a three year contract last summer, but his future has come under scrutiny following a dismal performance against Southampton in the Premier League last Sunday.

With Joel Matip already lined up, Klopp may look to add another solid centre-back to replace the Slovakian.

Likewise Jose Enrique and Mario Balotelli are certain to leave the club, while Klopp may sell Christian Benteke as well. The Belgian striker hasn’t played much under Klopp, who prefers Origi over him.

Liverpool plot move for Morata?

Alvaro Morata was simply brilliant against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Although he hasn’t been used regularly this season, but the Spaniard carried this reputation of being a big match player.

The Spaniard wants to stay in Italy, and continue with Juventus, but there are other factors that could decide his future.

Real Madrid have a reported buy-back clause and Los Blancos might be interested in signing their former player again.

Juventus also can sell him to any other interested clubs (read as Premier League clubs) if the offer is right. According to reports in Italy, Liverpool are willing to sign Morata and are prepared to offer €40m for his services.

Morata, however, is skeptical about moving to Merseyside. He wants to play in the Champions League, and unless Liverpool win the Europa League or get into the top four, it is unlikely the Reds can tempt Morata to join them.
