Luis Suarez after returning from his suspension has been firing all cylinders for Liverpool. The Uruguayan has already scored six goals in the league in four matches, forging a devastating partnership with Daniel Sturridge, and his influence in the team is one of the prime factors why Liverpool are third in the Premier League (same points with Chelsea). It seems like he is really enjoying his game at the moment.
In recent weeks, reports have emerged that La Liga giants Real Madrid are monitoring his situation and they are looking to add him to their squad in the January transfer window.
The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has hailed Suarez’ commitment in the press and clearly stated how important the player is for their top four aspirations. Suarez responded to the rumours after speaking to Radio Sport 890 in Montevideo saying he is “comfortable and happy” at the club and said he knew “absolutely nothing” about the speculation.
Further he added: “In the team we all really excited and looking forward to a good season,” and hailed Premier League is “the best” because “for the stadiums, the atmosphere and the people that make it spectacular.”
When quizzed about Uruguay’s chances of reaching the World Cup, he added: “Uruguay is going to get well, without underestimating the opponent and I am optimistic that we will be in Brazil,”
Speaking about his nomination for Ballon d’Or, he said: “It is an honor to be on the list of 23 chosen by FIFA , but I think there are several players who have had a year much more prominent, If I had to choose I would go for Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ribery.”
