Fulham defender Paul Konchesky has completed his expected move to Liverpool, as confirmed by Liverpool’s official site.
The experienced left back has put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract, and he arrives at Anfield for an undisclosed fee after spending the last three-plus seasons with the Cottagers. Konchesky has spent his entire career in London, with stints at Charlton, Tottenham, West Ham, and Fulham, but he now moves to Merseyside to be reunited with former Fulham manager Roy Hodgson.
Along with the fee received for Konchesky, the Cottagers have landed Reds youngsters Lauri Dalla Valle and Alex Kacaniklic.
Konchesky’s arrival will see left back Emiliano Insua depart, as the Argentine is off to Turkish side Galatasaray to link up with former Liverpool players Milan Baros and Harry Kewell. It will also likely see a shuffle in Liverpool’s starting lineup, as Daniel Agger started the first three Premier League matches at left back.
