Bosnian coach Zeljko Buvac has been given the green light to join up with Jurgen Klopp for his first training session as the Liverpool assistant manager.
The former Borussia Dortmund assistant manager was struggling with work permit issues and was unable to join up with Klopp and Krawietz at Liverpool.
Liverpool Echo have reported that the work permit issue for the Bosnian has now been sorted by the club and he is cleared to participate in today’s training session. Buvac will also join Jurgen Klopp in the Liverpool dugout against Tottenham, on Saturday.
Buvac has been described as the ‘brains’ of the team by Jurgen Klopp in his first interview as the Liverpool manager. The German will be delighted to have his long term partner back working with him now.
Apart from their stint at Dortmund, Buvac and Klopp have worked as a duo at Mainz as well. They also played together for the same club.
Christian Benteke set to miss the clash against Tottenham
Meanwhile, 32 million pound signing Christian Benteke could miss the clash against Tottenham this weekend, according to the Echo.
The Belgian is still recovering from his hamstring injury sustained against Norwich and is unlikely to pass the late fitness test.
Furthermore, young defender Joe Gomez also limped off during the England U21’s game and is believed to have tweaked his ligament.
Roberto Firmino is close to joining full training, but the Spurs game might be too soon for him.
The likes of Henderson and Flanagan are the only long term injuries and should be back training towards the end of November.
