Carlos BaccaLiverpool and Manchester United have suffered a blow in their chase of Carlos Bacca after the striker agreed to join AC Milan.

The Colombian international was a part of the national squad in the 2015 Copa America as they were knocked out of the tournament by the finalists Argentina on penalties in the quarter finals.

Bacca was instrumental in the Spanish club’s challenge to retain the Europa League after defeating Dnipro. He scored twice in their 3-2 victory over the Ukrainian outfit. His club form has seen him being linked to top clubs across Europe.

The Premier League duo Liverpool and Louis van Gaal’s side were particularly keen on adding the South America to their squad, according to Sky Sports. However, the striker has snubbed a chance to make a switch to England after agreeing terms to join Milan.

Bacca’s move to San Siro is subjected to medical after Sevilla and Milan agreed a fee for the transfer of the player.

” #SevillaFC and @acmilan have reached an agreement for the transfer of @carlos7bacca,” Sevilla tweeted.

The Merseyside club and the Red Devils will be forced to look elsewhere in the transfer market. Brendan Rodgers has already added Danny Ings to the squad, while Van Gaal is yet to find a replacement for Radamel Falcao, who was allowed to return to AS Monaco after his disappointing loan spell at United.
